Vancouver Riots After Canucks Loss in Game 7 Feature Upside-Down Cars, Stabbings, Fires and Head Wounds




After a Game 7 Stanley Cup Final loss to the Boston Bruins, angry fans of the Vancouver Canucks took to the streets of their city, burning cars, rioting, and causing millions of dollars of damage.

Soon after the riots started, CBC News reported that the downtown core of Vancouver had become unsafe for police and fireman to stay. People quickly took to Twitter to discuss the mobs of unruly and violent fans and live video streams went up online where you could watch the fire and smoke billow up into the air.

While initially the only images available were through Twitpic and other nonprofessional means of distribution, there have since been released loads of high quality professional pictures. We have them here:
